On August 3rd, Yaroslav Mykhalushko (7-0, 6 KOs) and Serhii Shvets (8-2, 4 KOs), two young prospects from Ukraine, fought for the vacant WBC Ukraine and Champion of Ukraine in the welterweight division at the Kyiv Sports Palace.
The results of the weigh-in showed the boxers coming into the fight with the following weights: Yaroslav Mykhalushko stood at 66.5 kg, and his opponent Serhii Shvets at 66.4 kg.
From the very first round, Yaroslav Mykhalushko confidently dominated the ring and actively attacked his opponent. Serhii Shvets skillfully defended himself against Mykhalushko's attacks and carried out effective counterattacks, however, Mykhalushko's powerful physical pressure yielded its results in the end.
The 6th round was intense, vibrant and decisive. After the third knockdown, the referee stopped the fight. Yaroslav Mykhalushko won – TKO in the 6th round.

Ukrainian Yaroslav Mykhalushko knocked out his opponent in the 4th round and became the Interim WBC Youth World Welterweight Champion.
Andrii Boryshpolets, a 27-year-old Ukrainian boxer from Kyiv, won the WBC Ukraine and Champion of Ukraine titles in the super lightweight division.
