On January 20, at the largest sports arena in Ukraine, the Palace of Sports was an exciting and very competitive the WBC Ukraine and Champion of Ukraine titles bout between Vladyslav Gela and Andrii Tsiura.
The hunger for the victory of both boxers gave the audience incredible emotions . The tense confrontation lasted all 10 rounds, in which the strongest one won by unanimous decision of the judges.

In ordinary life, the WBC Ukraine Champion and the Champion of Ukraine is a firefighter and chief of guard at the 14th State Fire and Rescue Unit in Kremenchuk.
Vladyslav has repeatedly participated in the aftermath of enemy shelling in Kremenchuk. His unit was among the first who had arrived at the burning Amstor shopping centre on the day of the russian army's shelling of Kremenchuk in the summer of 2022.
"Since 2016, I have been a member of the SESU national team in hand-to-hand combat. I compete in the President of Ukraine Cup for our service. During my school and university studies, I was constantly engaged in boxing. I was on duty, I was a cadet. I had to combine everything - study, service and sports", said Vladyslav.
"This is the WBC Ukraine Champion belt which was handed to me by Mykola Kovalchuk, the president of WBC Ukraine. It gives me the opportunity to get into the WBC rankings and have a title bouts on the international arenas", told the Champion.

Ukrainian Yaroslav Mykhalushko knocked out his opponent in the 4th round and became the Interim WBC Youth World Welterweight Champion.
Andrii Boryshpolets, a 27-year-old Ukrainian boxer from Kyiv, won the WBC Ukraine and Champion of Ukraine titles in the super lightweight division.
