Danylo Lozan falls short against Mujibillo Tursunov in the WBC Grand Prix Semi-Final
The semi-final stage of the prestigious international tournament WBC Grand Prix took place in the capital of Saudi Arabia, bringing together some of the world’s most promising boxers competing for the coveted cup and global recognition.
Ukraine’s sole representative at this stage was Danylo Lozan (15–1, 9 KOs), who competes in the Super Lightweightdivision.
In the semi-final bout, Lozan faced the undefeated Uzbek boxer Mujibillo Tursunov (9–0, 2 KOs). The fight went the full distance and ended in a majority decision victory for Tursunov.
The judges’ scorecards read 59–55, 59–57, 58–56, 58–56, and 57–57 — in favor of Mujibillo Tursunov.
Despite the result, Danylo Lozan represented Ukraine with honor, delivering a competitive and technically sound performance. His effort once again demonstrated the high standard of the Ukrainian boxing school.

The WBC Grand Prix tournament is part of a global initiative by the World Boxing Council (WBC) that provides young athletes with the opportunity to showcase their talent on the international stage.
Fighting for the WBC Grand Prix Cup represents not only prestige but also a real chance to make a name among the world’s professional boxing elite.
Next year, the WBC and Riyadh Season plan to host the second season of the WBC Grand Prix, once again uniting the world’s most promising boxers.
