BOHDAN BEIDA DEFEATS DMYTRO TSYUPKA TO BECOME WBC UKRAINE LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION

On October 3 in Vinnytsia, Dmytro Tsyupka and Bohdan Beida met in a title fight in the lightweight division (up to 61.2 kg). The WBC Ukraine title and the Ukrainian national title were at stake.

For Dmytro Tsyupka, this was already his second attempt to fight for the WBC Ukraine belt. In April 2026, he faced Taras Bondarchuk. That bout went the full distance and ended with Bondarchuk winning by unanimous decision with scores of 98–92, 98–92 and 99–91.

This time, Tsyupka faced undefeated Bohdan Beida, who entered the title fight with a professional record of 4-0, 3 KOs. Tsyupka came into the bout with a record of 11-5-1, 6 KOs.

On October 2 in Vinnytsia, the boxers took part in the official weigh-in. Dmytro Tsyupka weighed 61 kg, while Bohdan Beida came in at 60.650 kg. Both fighters successfully made the lightweight limit and were cleared for the title fight.

The bout was close and competitive throughout the full distance, with both fighters having their successful moments. However, in the decisive rounds, Beida managed to maintain the edge on the judges’ scorecards and secure the victory.

After ten rounds, all three judges awarded the fight to Bohdan Beida. Viktor Fesechko scored the bout 97–93, while Igor Kalenchenko and Ruslan Myshko both scored it 96–94 in favor of Beida.

With the victory, Bohdan Beida won by unanimous decision and captured two titles — the WBC Ukraine belt and the Ukrainian lightweight championship.

For Bohdan Beida, this was his fifth victory in five professional bouts. His record now stands at 5-0, 3 KOs, while Dmytro Tsyupka moves to 11-6-1, 6 KOs.
