WBC Rankings: April 2026
The April update of the WBC rankings reflects the current form of Ukrainian boxers while also setting the tone for upcoming events. For many fighters, the next bouts could be decisive in improving their positions in the May rankings.
HEAVYWEIGHT
Oleksandr Usyk continues to hold the WBC world title and remains the leader of the heavyweight division. In May, the Ukrainian is set to face Rico Verhoeven in a highly anticipated bout. Andrii Novytskyi moved up from 26th to 25th place and is scheduled to fight American Alexander Flores on April 24, with the result potentially affecting his ranking in the next update. Tsotne Rogava also improved his standing, now ranked 38th, and is set to fight Mexican Mauricio Leon Perez on May 15 in Chetumal.
BRIDGERWEIGHT
Oleksandr Hrytsiv (13-0, 8 KOs) holds the 6th position in the world rankings and is scheduled to face experienced Nigerian Olanrewaju Durodola (50-10, 44 KOs) in a rating bout on April 18. Liubomyr Pinchuk became one of the standout performers of this update, moving up from 18th to 16th place. Vitalii Stalchenko, meanwhile, remains at 27th and is set to fight in Poland on April 18 against an opponent from Slovenia.
CRUISERWEIGHT
Ramazan Muslimov dropped one position, moving from 34th to 35th place. At the same time, he is scheduled to fight for the EBU Silver title on May 23 against Jonathan Kogasso, a bout that could impact his future standing in the division.
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Danylo Lapin was among the biggest movers in the April rankings, climbing from 18th to 15th place, marking a significant step forward in the division. Oleksandr Gvozdyk, on the other hand, dropped one position and now ranks 17th instead of 16th.
SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT
Serhii Derevianchenko improved his position by two places, moving from 10th to 8th and getting closer to the top tier of the division.
MIDDLEWEIGHT
Fedir Cherkashyn continued his upward movement, climbing from 6th to 5th place and strengthening his position among the division’s leaders. Serhii Bohachuk also moved up one place, from 7th to 6th. On May 10, Bohachuk is set to face Shane Mosley Jr., a bout that could directly impact his position in the next rankings update.
SUPER WELTERWEIGHT
Maksym Molodan improved his ranking, moving up from 39th to 37th place. On April 18, he is scheduled to defend his WBC Francophone title against Argentina’s Elias Mauricio Haedo, and the outcome could influence his position in the May rankings.
WELTERWEIGHT
Karen Chukhadzhian remains at 12th place and is scheduled to fight Paddy Donovan on May 15.
Yaroslav Mykhalushko also holds his 30th position and is set to defend his WBC International title against Zoravor Petrosyan on April 18. This bout is expected to be a compelling Ukrainian derby, with its result potentially impacting the rankings in the following month.
LIGHTWEIGHT
Danylo Honcharuk dropped one position, moving from 34th to 35th place, but remains within the top 40 of the division.
WOMEN BANTAMWEIGHT
Anastasiia Petrenko remains ranked 18th in the WBC world rankings. At the same time, March became a significant milestone in her career, as the Ukrainian boxer won the IBO title after defeating an opponent from Mexico. This achievement further strengthened her status on the international stage.
