Reigning WBC World Super Bantamweight Champion Skye Nicolson (16-1, 3 KOs) will defend her title against experienced Japanese contender Miyo Yoshida (19-5, 1 KO). For the Australian, this will be her first defense of the full WBC title at Super Bantamweight after being elevated from Interim Champion to World Champion in May 2026. Nicolson previously held the WBC World Featherweight title, making her a two-division world champion.
Yoshida also brings considerable championship experience. The Japanese boxer is a former world champion in two weight divisions and a three-time world titleholder during her professional career. The bout against Nicolson gives her another opportunity to capture a world championship.
The fight was originally scheduled for August, but Nicolson was forced to withdraw due to an injury suffered during training. The bout was rescheduled for November 8, 2026, and will be contested over 10 two-minute rounds.
