On November 7, 2026, Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, will host a bout between former WBC Bridgerweight World Champion Kevin Lerena and British boxer Scott Forrest. The vacant WBC International Cruiserweight title will be on the line.
For Lerena, this bout will mark his return to the cruiserweight division, where he previously held the IBO World Championship title. In May 2026, the South African boxer lost his WBC Bridgerweight world title to Ryad Merhy by unanimous decision. He now aims to rebuild his position in the cruiserweight division.
His opponent, Scott Forrest, has extensive amateur boxing experience. The British boxer has won multiple national championships and represented his country in international competitions. This bout offers him an opportunity to claim the WBC International title against an experienced opponent.
The bout is scheduled for 10 rounds.
