WBC RANKINGS: June Positions of Ukrainian Boxers
The World Boxing Council (WBC) has released its updated world rankings for June 2026. The past month brought several important fights and significant ranking changes for Ukrainian boxers. The biggest gains among Ukrainians were recorded by Tsotne Rogava, Maksym Molodan, and Fedor Cherkashyn, while defeats resulted in notable drops for Karen Chukhadzhian and Serhii Bohachuk. In addition, Danylo Lapin and Ramazan Muslimov dropped out of their respective rankings following unsuccessful performances in May.
In the Heavyweight division (over 101.605 kg), Oleksandr Usyk (25-0, 16 KOs) remains the WBC World Champion. In May, the Ukrainian successfully defended his title by stopping Rico Verhoeven via technical knockout in the 11th round. The bout made boxing history as the first major world title fight held at the Giza Pyramids in Egypt. The victory allowed Usyk to maintain his status as the division’s king and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.
WBC International Champion Andrii Novytskyi (16-0, 12 KOs) slipped from 11th to 12th place in the rankings. Despite the slight drop, the undefeated Ukrainian remains one of the highest-ranked heavyweight contenders from Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Tsotne Rogava (13-0, 8 KOs) improved his standing after defeating Mauricio Leon Perez. The Ukrainian moved up from 39th to 36th position and continues to climb toward the upper tier of the heavyweight rankings.
In the Bridgerweight division (up to 101.605 kg), WBC Francophone Champion Oleksandr Hrytsiv (13-0, 9 KOs)retained his No. 4 position and remains one of the leading contenders in the division.
Liubomyr Pinchuk (17-4-2, 11 KOs) also held his ground, remaining at No. 15 in the rankings.
Vitalii Stalchenko (13-1-1, 8 KOs) dropped one position, moving from No. 24 to No. 25. Despite the slight decline, the Ukrainian remains among the ranked contenders in the division.
In the Cruiserweight division (up to 90.719 kg), one of the most significant changes among Ukrainian fighters occurred. Ramazan Muslimov (10-1, 7 KOs) fell out of the WBC rankings following his defeat to the undefeated Jonathan Kogasso. The loss was the first of his professional career.
In the Light Heavyweight division (up to 79.379 kg), Oleksandr Gvozdyk (21-3, 17 KOs) retained his 17th position and remains among the division’s ranked contenders.
Meanwhile, Daniel Lapin (13-1, 5 KOs) dropped out of the WBC rankings after suffering a fourth-round knockout loss to France’s Benjamin Mendes Tani. The bout took place on the undercard of the historic Usyk vs. Verhoeven event and marked the first defeat of Lapin’s professional career.
In the Super Middleweight division (up to 76.204 kg), Serhii Derevianchenko (16-6, 11 KOs) maintained his eighth-place ranking. The experienced Ukrainian remains one of the division’s most respected contenders.
In the Middleweight division (up to 72.575 kg), Fedor Cherkashyn (28-1, 18 KOs) improved his position from fifth to fourth place, moving even closer to the top of the division.
One of the most significant drops among Ukrainian fighters belonged to Serhii Bohachuk (27-4, 24 KOs). Following his loss to Shane Mosley Jr. on a Zuffa Boxing card, Bohachuk fell ten places, dropping from No. 6 to No. 16 in the rankings.
In the Super Welterweight division (up to 69.853 kg), WBC Francophone Champion Maksym Molodan (13-1, 8 KOs)continued his rise in the rankings. The Ukrainian improved from 29th to 25th place and remains one of the country’s most promising fighters in the division.
In the Welterweight division (up to 66.678 kg), Karen Chukhadzhian (26-4, 14 KOs) suffered one of the biggest drops among Ukrainian boxers in the June update. Following his defeat to Paddy Donovan, he fell from 11th to 22nd place in the WBC rankings.
WBC International and WBC Francophone Champion Yaroslav Mykhalushko (13-0, 9 KOs) slipped by one position, moving from 22nd to 23rd place. Despite the minor setback, the undefeated Ukrainian remains among the ranked contenders in the welterweight division.
The June WBC rankings once again highlight the strong presence of Ukrainian boxing on the international stage. Ukrainian fighters continue to hold competitive positions across multiple weight classes, while the results of May’s major bouts significantly reshaped the rankings heading into the summer months. With several important opportunities expected in the near future, further changes could be on the horizon for Ukraine’s top professional boxers.
