WBC Ukraine presented the Women’s Champion of Ukraine title at the 63rd WBC Convention in Bangkok
The WBC Ukraine team took part in the 63rd Convention of the World Boxing Council (WBC), held in Bangkok, Thailand, where it officially presented the Women’s WBC Ukraine Champion title. This step became an important confirmation of the systematic development of boxing in Ukraine — not only in the men’s division, but also in women’s boxing.
Ukrainian boxing continues to confidently strengthen its position on the international stage, and the women’s segment is an integral part of this progress. That is why the presentation of the Women’s WBC Ukraine title carries special significance.
Development of Women’s Boxing in Ukraine
Today, women’s boxing in Ukraine demonstrates steady growth, competitiveness, and a high sporting level. A vivid example of this progress is Anastasiia Petrenko — the current WBC Ukraine Champion and WBC Francophone Champion in the Bantamweight division.
Her achievements confirm that Ukrainian female athletes are capable not only of competing successfully at the national level, but also of representing Ukraine with distinction in international title bouts under the WBC banner. It is precisely such examples that are shaping a new chapter in the history of Ukrainian women’s professional boxing.
International recognition of WBC Ukraine’s activities
A separate and exceptionally important moment for the Ukrainian team was the official recognition from WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán.

This recognition reflects the high evaluation of the Ukrainian office’s work by the WBC leadership and confirms the correctness of the chosen path of development.
