WBC December Ratings Update: Ukraine’s Position in the Global Rankings
The December update of the World Boxing Council (WBC) rankings confirmed the stable presence of Ukrainian fighters across multiple weight divisions. Some athletes climbed higher thanks to their recent victories and title wins, others dropped due to the increased activity of global contenders. A number of boxers also entered the ratings following their championship bouts in autumn 2025.
Below is a full analysis of Ukraine’s positions in the WBC rankings as of December.
HEAVYWEIGHT
Oleksandr Usyk (WBC Heavyweight World Champion) — Champion
Usyk retains the WBC heavyweight world title and continues to lead the division. His position remains unchanged: he is still one of the most influential figures in world boxing, and his upcoming fights will determine the future landscape of the category.
Andrii Novytskyi (WBC International Heavyweight Champion) — 23rd place
Novytskyi maintained his ranking. After suffering a summer injury, he has not returned to the ring yet, but holding the WBC International title keeps him firmly in the top 25 and preserves his prospects for 2026.
Tsotne Rogava (WBC US Heavyweight Champion) — 39th place
In October, Rogava held the 37th position but has now moved down to 39th due to increased activity among other contenders. Despite this, he remains one of Ukraine’s most productive heavyweights.
Bohdan Myronets — removed from the rankings
In October, Myronets was still ranked 40th. Due to prolonged inactivity and the loss of his WBC Francophone title, he has been dropped from the rankings entirely. He may return after his next official bout.
BRIDGERWEIGHT
Oleksandr Hrytsiv (WBC Francophone Bridgerweight Champion) — 9th place
Hrytsiv rose from 10th to 9th place. His steady performances and activity allow him to remain in the top 10. On December 13 in Lviv, he will face Serhii Radchenko — a fight that could influence the rankings of both Ukrainians.
Serhii Radchenko — 18th place
Radchenko climbed from 19th to 18th. He continues to be one of the most experienced Ukrainian fighters in the division. His upcoming bout with Hrytsiv on December 13 is expected to be a key matchup to close the year.
Vitalii Stalchenko — 27th place
Stalchenko dropped slightly from 26th place. He fought during the second half of the year, which allowed him to remain within the top 30.
Liubomyr Pinchuk — 29th place
Pinchuk’s ranking remains unchanged. He maintains his place due to consistent past performances, although he did not have high-profile bouts in the latter part of the year.
CRUISERWEIGHT
Ramazan Musliimov (WBC Baltic Cruiserweight Champion) — 34th place
Musliimov entered the December rankings following his title fight on November 22 in Chełm (Poland), where he captured the WBC Baltic belt. This victory secured him 34th place and marked a major step in his international career.
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Oleksandr Gvozdyk — 5th place
Gvozdyk dropped from 3rd to 5th place. Despite the slight decline, he remains among the leading contenders for a future title bout.
Daniil Lapin — 21st place
Lapin moved up from 23rd to 21st. Even though his scheduled fight was postponed due to injury, he continues to climb thanks to previous victories and activity among other contenders.
Bohdan Sobol (WBC Baltic Light Heavyweight Champion) — 38th place
Sobol returned to the rankings after his title bout on November 28 at Mad Fight Stadium (San Sebastián de los Reyes, Spain), where he defeated Sweden’s Oscar Ahlin. This win allowed him to retain the WBC Baltic belt and secure 38th place in the rankings.
SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT
Sergiy Derevyanchenko — 25th place
Derevyanchenko dropped from 24th to 25th due to inactivity, yet remains a respected and competitive boxer within the top 30.
MIDDLEWEIGHT
Fedor Cherkashyn — 8th place
Cherkashyn rose from 9th to 8th place. In 2025, he earned two notable victories that strengthened his ranking. His consistent performances and promotional activity keep him close to major title opportunities in 2026.
SUPER WELTERWEIGHT
Serhii Bohachuk — 7th place
Bohachuk maintained his place inside the top 10. Despite a loss in the summer, he remains one of the most powerful punchers in the division.
Maksym Molodan (WBC Francophone Super Welterweight Champion) — 35th place
Molodan entered the world rankings after his title fight on October 25 against Belgium’s Anthony Loffet, where he won by unanimous decision. This victory earned him the WBC Francophone belt and a position in the global WBC ratings.
Vasyl Chebotar (WBC Youth Super Welterweight Champion) — 37th place
Chebotar holds 37th place in the WBC Super Welterweight rankings. As the reigning WBC Youth champion, he continues to build his professional career and international experience, ensuring his presence in the global standings.
WELTERWEIGHT
Karen Chukhadzhian — 14th place
Chukhadzhian slipped from 12th to 14th. On October 11, he earned a victory and captured two vacant titles — IBF International Welterweight and WBO International Welterweight. However, the activity of his competitors in the top 15 prevented him from rising in the December update.
Yaroslav Mykhalushko (WBC International & WBC Francophone Champion) — 28th place
Mykhalushko made a major jump from 38th to 28th place.
On October 25, he faced a Mexican opponent, defended his WBC Francophone title, and captured the vacant WBC International belt. This double title win secured his move into the top 30.
SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT
Danylo Lozan — removed from the rankings
In October, he occupied 31st place but was removed after losing in the semifinal of the WBC Grand Prix. The absence of post-tournament bouts and the high activity of other contenders resulted in his drop from the list.
LIGHTWEIGHT
Denys Berinchyk — 9th place
Berinchyk remains steady in 9th place. His previous victories and consistency keep him securely inside the WBC top 10 even without fights this year.
BANTAMWEIGHT (WOMAN)
Anastasiia Petrenko (WBC Francophone & WBC Ukraine Champion) — 20th place
Her position remains unchanged. Petrenko stays inside the top 20 thanks to her titles and stable performances earlier this year. Her next bout is scheduled for December 13 in Lviv, where she will face an opponent from Colombia.
