Ukrainian boxers in the September WBC rankings: ups and downs

The September update of the World Boxing Council rankings confirmed that Ukrainian boxers remain among the elite and continue to shape the picture across several divisions. This time there were both positive moves upward and slight drops.
Heavyweight
- Oleksandr Usyk — undisputed world champion (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF). No change in status.
- Andriy Novytskyi — climbed from 24th to 23rd place. Holds his position as WBC International champion.
- Tsotne Rogava — dropped from 33rd to 37th after a loss in the WBC Grand Prix.
- Bohdan Myronets — steady at 40th, current WBC Francophone champion.
Bridgerweight
- Oleksandr Hrytsiv — rose from 10th to 9th after a spectacular first-round KO win over Vaclav Pejsar.
- Serhii Radchenko — dropped from 18th to 20th, still in the top 20 thanks to his experience.
- Vitalii Stalchenko — slipped from 25th to 26th following his Grand Prix performance.
- Liubomyr Pinchuk — no change, steady at 29th.
Light Heavyweight
- Oleksandr Gvozdyk — climbed from 4th to 3rd, remaining one of the main title contenders.
- Daniil Lapin — moved up from 22nd to 21st after a summer victory. His next fight is scheduled for November 1 against Jones.
Super Middleweight
- Sergiy Derevyanchenko — dropped from 19th to 20th, but remains inside the top 20.
Middleweight
- Fedor Chervakshin — slipped from 7th to 9th, but stays within the WBC top 10 and in line for a title shot.
Super Welterweight
- Serhii Bohachuk — fell from 2nd to 8th after his September defeat in the rematch with Brandon Adams. Despite this, he remains one of the division’s top contenders.
- Vasyl Chebotar — dropped from 37th to 38th, but continues to grow as WBC Youth champion.
Welterweight
- Karen Chukhadzhian — down from 14th to 16th. His next fight is scheduled for October 11.
- Yaroslav Mykhalushko — slipped from 37th to 38th. On October 25 in Belgium, he will defend his Francophone title and fight for the WBC International belt.
Super Lightweight
- Danylo Lozan — made a major leap from 37th to 29th thanks to his Grand Prix performance. His next fight is set for October 19 in Riyadh.
Lightweight
- Denys Berinchyk — steady at 9th, firmly holding his place in the world top 10.
Featherweight
- Arnold Khegai — dropped from 24th to 27th. On September 12, he secured an important win that will help him maintain his standing among top fighters.
Bantamweight (women)
- Anastasiia Petrenko — no change, remains at 20th place in the WBC world rankings.
