On March 21, Ukrainian boxing will witness one of the most anticipated moments of the year — Paris 2024 Olympic champion, world and European champion Oleksandr Khyzhniak will make his professional boxing debut.
The Ukrainian will face Colombian fighter Wilmer Baron (8-13-1, 6 KO) — a durable and mobile boxer known for his footwork and quick counterattacks. For Baron, the bout represents an opportunity to test himself against one of the most recognized figures of the amateur boxing scene of the past decade.
Khyzhniak enters the professional ranks with the reputation of one of the brightest representatives of the modern Ukrainian boxing school. His aggressive style, relentless pressure, and ability to maintain a high pace have repeatedly proven decisive at the most prestigious international tournaments.
Now the Ukrainian opens a new chapter in his career — this time in the professional ring. His debut will take place as part of the Rising Stars boxing event organized by Usyk 17 Promotions.
