Danylo Lozan Passes the Weigh-In Ahead of the WBC Grand Prix Semifinals
The official weigh-in for the next stage of the prestigious WBC Grand Prix tournament took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ukraine’s sole representative at this stage, Danylo Lozan (15–0, 9 KOs), will compete in the Super Lightweightdivision.
At the scales, Lozan weighed in at 64.4 kg, while his opponent from Uzbekistan, Mujibillo Tursunov (8–0, 2 KOs), registered 64.0 kg. Both fighters successfully made weight and are ready for the decisive clash.
Road to the Semifinals
The WBC Grand Prix has gathered boxers from across the globe, creating a unique platform for competition, prestige, and a substantial prize fund.
Danylo Lozan has confidently advanced through every stage of the tournament. In the Round of 32, he defeated Kamronbek Eshmatov (10–1) by unanimous decision; in the Round of 16, he stopped Eric Basran (8–0) with a third-round TKO; and in the quarterfinals, he claimed victory over Sanatali Toltayev (4–0) by technical decision following an accidental head clash.
His opponent, Mujibillo Tursunov (8–0, 2 KOs) of Uzbekistan, also remains undefeated in the professional ranks. During the current WBC Grand Prix campaign, he beat Misael Cabrera Urias (17–2–1) by unanimous decision (UD), overcame Alan Ezequiel Dutra (15–0) also by unanimous decision (UD), and earned a split decision (SD) win over Michael Adesodun (9–1–1) in his previous bout.
