About Us

WBC Ukraine
The World Boxing Council (WBC) — the most prestigious boxing organization in the world — was founded in 1963 in Mexico City. The organization is currently led by Mauricio Sulaimán, who was unanimously elected as WBC President in 2014 following the passing of his father, Don José Sulaimán. Don José served as the organization’s president for 36 years (from 1975 until his death) and is still highly respected for the many positive changes he brought to professional boxing under his leadership.
Thanks to WBC Ukraine, Ukrainian athletes have the opportunity to step onto the international stage.
We invest in the future of Ukrainian boxing by opening the path for a new generation of champions.
We work to elevate the level of boxing in Ukraine through projects, initiatives, and collaboration with coaches and athletes.
We host WBC Ukraine title bouts and support Ukrainian fighters in participating in global championships.
OUR VISION
We envision Ukraine as a powerful boxing nation — one that produces world-class champions and sets new standards in professional sports. WBC Ukraine is not just about titles and rings — it’s about values, honor, growth, and supporting everyone willing to walk the path of great boxing. We are building a platform where talent is discovered and dreams become reality.
OUR MISSION
To develop professional boxing in Ukraine and open new opportunities for our athletes on the international stage. We aim to create a system in which every Ukrainian boxer — regardless of age or region — gets a real chance to fulfill their potential.
OUR SLOGAN
“My blood is green, my heart is gold!” This phrase reflects the colors of the WBC belt and stands for humanity, fairness, and courage — not only in the sport but in everyday life, which are the values WBC proudly upholds.
